The Heart Behind Organická Apoteka
"Organická Apoteka is a concept that has been living in my head for several years and has gradually taken shape. For a long time, I have longed for organic cosmetics that are absolutely premium in terms of ingredients and their purity. Also beautiful but sustainable packaging. I got the courage to create it after years of planning. Within my position as a formula creator and idea marketer at the family brand Havlik's Apoteka, I always had ideas that were more niche, but more importantly, also complicated and costly. They contained multiple ingredients in premeditated proportions that together enhanced the effect. Few people know that the combination of herbs is extremely important. Because when you combine them, they can either create a whole new powerful effect or, conversely, lose all effectiveness. Recipes and ingredients often have a deep history. Organic certification is also important and has been key to the products. After all, there is no such thing as an herb, it's working with a living plant whose quality is influenced by the environment in which it grows, but also by the season.
I've been working on cosmetic development for several years and grew up in the cosmetic industry. My mom, the founder of Havlik's Apoteka, started working with cosmetics when I was 11 years old and I've always been incredibly fascinated by it because cosmetics and nature have always been things I associate with.
Even as a little girl, I tried creams with her and she taught me the importance of taking care of myself. She first worked at Sephora and I remember her coming home in the evening and showing me things she got in training or what new products had arrived. Havlik's Apoteka started with one product in our home, so I grew up in the office, lab and production. We gradually grew and had office desks in our bedrooms. We had developers and professors at home who were always presenting incredibly interesting concepts and the history of pharmacy.
I knew that cosmetics was a path that I would take someday. During the time I was a student, I would spend my evenings packing products, taping labels, and going to markets to help and sell. I tried out positions from sales, to customer service, to building a new e-shop and found that product development and drawing on history is a realm that will always fascinate me.
I knew there wasn't a cosmetic on the market that contained everything I wanted. In the development for Havlik's Apoteka, the price of the product always had to be taken into consideration, and the formulas often couldn't come to life. Despite a strong return to nature within the industry, I couldn't find what I was looking for anywhere because I was missing proof of the quality of the ingredients, as well as their origins and the certifications to prove it. Cosmetics have become a merch recently and finding quality organic cosmetics is becoming increasingly difficult.
